When I created Savoir-MH, it was because I felt the need to have a space to share who I am, my adventures and especially my way of seeing the world. Writing has always been my main tool for this and continues to be. You must have already noticed that MH Studios is a reflection of all these experiences, but for some time now I have been reflecting that this deserves to be a space for all kinds of information and digressions that make sense within this extraordinary universe of ours.
This introduction is to tell you that from today you will read other voices here, starting with Bruna, who now joins the MH Studios editorial staff bringing informative texts that I hope you will enjoy as much as I do. After all, as Stephen King says: "If you don't have time to read, you don't have time to write."
See you soon!
With affection,
Maria Helena.
Much has been heard about the practice of journaling - or in good Portuguese: making a kind of diary, recording daily events of a personal nature - but for those who have already passed adolescence, this habit may seem a bit silly or useless. However, this practice is not about telling the secrets of your life to the pages of a diary or notebook and keeping them under lock and key.
The truth is that, like so many other habits in our routine that have a great impact on our lives - as well extracted from the book "The Power of Habit" - journaling also brings benefits, beyond helping to organize the tasks of the day to day. Some studies already carried out by renowned institutions and published by important publications such as The Economist, confirm that this custom can contribute to decision making, productivity and even gaining more customers for the business of those who practice it.
I feel that this practice stimulates my ideas, creativity and gives me more motivation to start the week" - Maria Helena
And, although we live in a totally digital age, the physical product and the habit of writing still carry with them the necessary enchantment and the feeling of responsibility to stick to those ideas put on paper. Still according to The Economist, users of "old fashioned" methods tend to make more detailed plans and are more faithful to their projects than those who use apps or digital versions to take notes.
The practice of keeping a diary, a to-do list, or even using an analog agenda daily, brings greater clarity and focus, increases self-confidence and self-esteem (when writing about oneself, experiences, and feelings, for example), exercises memory and can help reduce stress and anxiety, as it requires greater concentration and organization on the part of the one who does it, helping to keep the mind occupied and with a macro view of all the responsibilities that are to come.
Our creative director, Maria Helena, is a great enthusiast of this practice and, not surprisingly, the Trent Planner was the second product of MH Studios. But faced with an even greater need to note down all her thoughts, small ideas and everything that came to mind at any moment, the Mission Notebook emerged, a blank canvas at your disposal at any time. You can write extensively, but you can also feel free to draw, track your daily activities, your to-do list and much more.
The possibilities are endless! Including this habit in your routine will only bring benefits to your life and, why not try new ways to be happy and in such a poetic way? After all,
*"Typing will never be as distinctive as handwriting". The Economist.
